DAVID WHITE

MISS TEXAS VOLUNTEER

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & President

For 40 years, David White has been involved with scholarship pageants. He is currently the director of the Miss Texas Volunteer Pageant. His motivation stems from a desire to create opportunities for young women so they can pursue goals and dreams while at the same time funding their education. David’s interest in the pageant system began while he was in high school in New Mexico. He started out as a set designer for the Miss New Mexico Scholarship Pageant and advanced into their scholarship and production committees. David went on to coach several young women in the Miss and Teen divisions before taking on the roles of Local Director, State Teen Director, and Co-Executive Director of the Miss Texas Pageant. David fondly tells the story of how a sixteen-year-old high school boy stopped after school to help out for a couple of hours and is still helping over forty years later!

Aside from Mr. White’s history of involvement in the pageant system, he has been very active in the community serving on several professional and charitable organizations. David has served as the Chairman of the Board for the Cathedral of Hope, Parkinson’s Disease Society Board of Directors, Foundation for Excellence Board of Directors, Dallas County Citizen’s Review Committee, DIFFA Board of Directors, Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association member, Texas Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Directors, the National Mortgage Bankers Association member, and is very involved with the Sigma Nu Alumni Association. He has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards in education, community involvement, and in his career.

David has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years. He resides in Carrollton, Texas, with his husband, Michael. Their twin sons, Joshua and Jeremy, attend college.
